Northern Neon Lights Limited are a Blackpool-based manufacturer founded over 60 years ago. Historically, the company manufactured neon signs, particularly for Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Blackpool Tower Company. Northern Neon Lights was the first sign company in the UK to invest in laser cutting equipment and later gained Government recognition for combining laser cutting and computer control technologies. The company has expanded over the years and diversified into laser cutting, metal fabrication, plastic fabrication and neon graphics and signs, which are supplemented by LED illumination systems. The company now serves clients far beyond Blackpool, including HSBC, Adams, Olympus, Poundland and has clients across Britain, Northern Ireland, Spain and Holland.
Tasked with obtaining full planning permission for a replacement industrial building at the Site, Acland Bracewell worked with the technical consultants and contractors, Wareing Buildings, to prepare the submission and obtain the necessary consent.
Working with the Local Planning Authority following submission, Acland Bracewell managed the process through to determination and quickly progressed with discharging pre-commencement conditions, enabling the development to commence.
