SARAH VALENTINE
DIRECTOR

Sarah grew up on her parents’ sheep farm on the rural Lleyn Peninsula, North Wales. Following graduation from the University of the West of England, Bristol with an honours degree in Valuation and Estate Management in 2004, Sarah joined the Bristol office of Workman & Partners. She returned to her rural roots when she joined Ingham & Yorke to continue her training in Lancashire, concentrating on the management of rural estates. 

 

In 2007, Acland Bracewell Surveyors Limited approached Sarah to join them, where she completed her training, qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor and gaining Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and was invited to become a Director of the practice in 2010.

 

Sarah specialises in both agricultural and mixed rural estate management for and on behalf of a range of clients in the north west, agricultural, commercial and residential landlord and tenant matters, including, rent reviews and tenancy renewals and succession, easements, wayleaves and compensation. Sarah has both professional and personal knowledge and experience of countryside sporting activities, letting shooting rights over 4,500 acres in the north west region and regularly advises clients on the changing nature of rural grants and payments in the UK, including entitlement trading and finds herself in great demand each spring, dealing with clients’ Basic Payment Scheme applications.

 

Sarah is married to Robert and in her spare time, enjoys nothing more than returning to her family’s farm in North Wales. Whilst she does not endure the same sporting obsession of her husband, Sarah is particularly a keen shot of both game and clay and can, on occasion, be found hacking off plaster during one of her renovation projects.
