After being brought up and schooled in West Lancashire, Roger attended Millfield School in Somerset where he studied until he was 18 years old.

Roger then spent his “gap year” running the family farm after the Farm Manager took early retirement. He then spent three years at The Royal Agricultural College, studying Rural Estate Management (1979 – 1982), before working as a young Land Agent in Bolton. In 1984, he returned to Acland Bracewell and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1985. Roger then joined his father, Thomas Bracewell, as a partner at Acland Bracewell in 1986. More recently Roger has become a consultant for Acland Bracewell surveyors.

Roger specialises in Estate and business management, investment and acquisitions, strategic residential land promotion and development and has a concentrated role on the internal client base at Acland Bracewell Surveyors.

During his free time, Roger can be found sailing his boat in Devon when he is not cleaning it!
