Planning Permission for Shade Tunnels

Acland Bracewell are pleased to announce that full planning permission has been granted by West Lancashire Borough Council for the retrospective erection of 560m2 of shade tunnels in Banks, Southport on behalf of our client J A Jones & Sons, a wholesale nursery and tree supplier. The tunnels were required to protect the plants from the elements and reduce crop loss.

The Application site is within the allocated Green Belt and Flood Zone 3. To support the application, Acland Bracewell prepared a Supporting Statement, setting out how the development was appropriate in a Green Belt location as well as a Flood Risk Assessment and Drainage Strategy. Architectural plans were also prepared in-house.

The Application was approved within its 8-week statutory timeframe and no conditions required discharging.
