Alex grew up in the village of Lydiate, West Lancashire and has been immersed in a rural lifestyle from a young age. Her grandfather was a farmer and her uncle runs a land drainage company.
Educated at Merchant Taylors’ Girls’ School and Winstanley Sixth Form College, Alex went on to read Geography at University College, Durham University where she graduated with an Honorary Bachelor of Arts degree in 2017. During her time there, she was an active member of the polo, badminton and fencing teams whilst also sitting on the entertainment committee.
After graduating, Alex took the opportunity to travel South America before embarking on a Masters programme studying Rural Estate and Land Management at Harper Adams University in September 2017.
For the last five years, Alex has been gaining a wide range of surveying experience before joining Acland Bracewell Surveyors in January 2018 as an Assistant Surveyor. Upon completion of her Masters, Alex is working towards passing her Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (CAAV) exams.
Alex is a keen horse rider, having competed at the Festival of British Eventing Championships and the Badminton Grassroots Championships in recent years.
